Joan Miro Joan Miro (1893 1983) was a native of Barcelona, Spain, where he received his formal art education at The School of Arts and Crafts (Escola dArts and Crafts of Barcelona or the Llotja School). Later he is said to have studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts and the Academie Gali. Upon Miros relocation to Paris, he befriended such noteworthy
