"This Is Ragtime" Documentary Feature
This is Ragtime: The Birth of American Music will be a 90-120 minute television music/documentary production for national broadcast by streaming and cable networks. The documentary is based on Terry Waldo's award-winning book, This is Ragtime, NPR episodes, podcasts and a rich array of entertaining historical material and performances. It will feature live concert and on-location recreations of the original music performed by today greatest interpreters of Ragtime, as well as interviews with Wynton Marsalis, John Baptiste, and other musical luminaries.
