Trailblazers Series

bball

A fictional dramatic series based on the Harlem Renaissance era of Basketball, with its cultural blend of sport, music, dance and art, and set against the background of racism that pervaded America and impacted upon all of these. The series tells stories of the individuals, teams, promoters and others from the early 1900’s up to 1950, when the NBA signed its first African-American players, “Sweetwater” Clifton, Charles Henry Cooper and Earl Lloyd, opening up the national League to more diverse teams and players.
