William Nix Joins the Producers Guild of America as a Member of its Producer's Council
William Nix, Chairman of Creative Projects Group, has joined the Producer's Guild of America (PGA) as Member of its Producer's Council, which is comprised of Producers, Executive Producers and others who are responsible for the majority of producing functions throughout the entire production of projects.
The PGA is the non-profit trade group that represents, protects and promotes the interests of all members of the producing team in film, television and new media. The PGA has over 7,000 members who work together to protect and improve their careers, the industry and community by facilitating members health benefits, encouraging enforcement of workplace labor laws, the creation of fair and impartial standards for the awarding of producing credits, as well as other education and advocacy efforts. The PGA hosts important industry events including the annual PGA Awards and the Produced By Conference. The Producing Team consists of all those whose interdependency and support of each other are necessary for the creation of motion pictures, television programs, and New Media, which includes Broadband, DVD/Blu-Ray, Interactive Video, Mobile, Digital Visual Effects, Digital Animation, Interactive/Enhanced Television (iTV), Special Venue Production, and Transmedia.
