William Nix is a featured speaker at the 2013 American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) National Convention in Washington, D.C. His presentation will provide attendees with both a cultural and a historical perspective on Kahlil Gibran. It will also cover forthcoming film,  art exhibition, art book and graphic novel publications, including transmedia/educational initiatives, involving Gibran's life story, his artistic works and his message to the world. adcThese productions and exhibitions will be displayed and distributed throughout the United States and internationally.  See: http://thegibranprojects.com/

The ADC Convention supports the important work of ADC while simultaneously reaching out to what is the largest annual gathering of Arab Americans and supporters. It provides an opportunity to meet and network with members for the community from across the country.  It is a great way to educate the next generation about Arab American history, culture, politics and the future of the community.

Throughout ADC's thirty-two years of service, its mission has been to protect the civil rights of Arab Americans, promote mutual understanding, and preserve cultural heritage. ADC's efforts and achievements are showcased each year at the ADC National Convention.  ADC has launched several exciting new programs and initiatives. These efforts and achievements will be showcased in June at this convention. The convention provides a way to get involved and make a difference.
